The author of Avarice at Dusk, Rosemary Ede Utavie, has released another literary piece titled, In Pursuit of Motherhood. Rosemary, who is a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Bayelsa State Chapter, made the announcement on her Facebook Page on the 9th of October, 2024. According to author who is also marking her birthday:

I am compelled to reflect on life and agree with the biblical King
Solomon who says the race is not to the swift but time and chance
happen. Dear women, be kind to one another. Above all, may Providence be kinder to us all because not everything is black or white. Here's my offering to humanity on my 40th birth anniversary. Read & Enjoy it."
Synopsis of the book reads:
this book chronicles the harrowing experiences of Daba as she rummages
through the path of motherhood daunted by numerous challenges. Daba will
have to overcome societal pressure, cultural myths, superstitions and
religion manipulation before she gets her penultimate heart desire. She
is supported by her friend, Nengi, who refuses to be limited by her
biological clock but advances in knowledge, career and social
connections amidst her numerous biological setbacks. This narrative
questions many age long cultural practices and atavistic tradition women
have to bear in pursuit of motherhood.

Brief Profile of the author:
Rosemary Ede Utavie is a teacher, writer, and researcher with a
passion for storytelling. Born in Otabagi and bred in Port Harcourt, she
holds degrees from Niger Delta University and University of Calabar. Currently
pursuing her Ph.D in Critical Discourse Analysis, Rosemary teaches Use
of English and Communication Skills at the Bayelsa State College of
Health Technology. This is her second published literary work, following
"Avarice at Dusk". She lives in Yenagoa with her husband and children
