Two Nigerian-Americans have elected into the National Academy of Engineering of the United States of America. The duo, Oyekunle Olukotun and Oluwole Soboyejo, were both congratulated by the U.S. Mission Nigeria on their Facebook page, for Nigerians success in the election.
The mission stated in its congratulatory message that they were elected based on their outstanding contributions to engineering literature, pioneering new fields of technology, and implementing innovative approaches to engineering education.
"We congratulate Nigerian-Americans Oyekunle Olukotun and Oluwole Soboyejo for their election to the prestigious National Academy of Engineering of the United States of America.
